Gucci Mane Inks a Sneaker Deal

Happy 10/17 everyone! For those of you unfamiliar with the significance of today’s date, 1017 happens to be the name of Rapper, Gucci Mane’s, Record label. Back in 2007, Gucci created 1017 Brick Squad after his departure from Mizay Entertainment. Since then, this number has been associated with legendary trap music and unparalleled southern swagger. In addition to his wedding ceremony being nationally televised this evening, Gucci recently announced a sneaker deal with Reebok. Reebok has become a sneaker goldmine for rappers seeking shoe deals. Prominent artists such as Future, and Teyana Taylor have already cemented their legacy with the UK founded Sports Wear brand. Will Gucci’s kicks live up to the hype surrounding his name? The Reebok Workout Plus EG  has launched in 5 colorways for $85 a piece via Should you crave more ankle support, a mid-top version is also available in black or white for $90. When asked about his stance on sneakers, Gucci elaborated on his preference for Reebok. “I’ve been a big fan of Reebok since day one, and the Workout is one of my favorite styles because of its look and long heritage. It’s a style that I grew up with and has stood the test of time and I’m excited to put my own take on it through this campaign.” Do you plan on copping a pair?
