2014-15 NBA Season Signature Shoes

Posted by Steven Quach on

As the NBA winds down, it looks like the Cleveland Cavaliers will face the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. In what proves to be an exciting finale, the sneaker market has grown exponentially this year. Throughout the season, there were so many new basketball shoes on the market. On top of the main signature stars, many debuted their first sneaker. We put together entire list of shoes and their signature star showing them off. Under Armour is officially on the map, adidas has a ton of potential, and Nike added to their dominance.

The Newcomers

D Lillard 1

Dame joined Derrick Rose and John Wall as signature athletes for adidas. His game is exciting and his low cut sneakers fit his game. Many dig the look and at $105, they're incredibly affordable.

J Wall 1

John Wall made his way onto another all star team and propelled his squad to the second round. Although they were dropped by the Atlanta Hawks, Wall grew his fan base with his resiliency to play through his hand injuries.

Under Armour Curry One

First Curry made the Clutchfit Drives popular. Then he got his own signature shoe and pushed the Dubs to the cusp of the NBA Finals. Whatever he's doing, it's working. Under Armour is loving their latex investment.

Nike Kyrie 1

Kyrie joined forces and welcomed LeBron James back home. Luckily for him, they've been an Eastern Conference powerhouse and are 4 wins away from his first ring. Joining Nike's Big Three, Kyrie will be set for a long time with the Swoosh.

Anta KT Fire

Curry's Splash Brother Klay left the Swoosh and signed a deal with Chinese brand Anta. Although it hasn't panned out, Thompson has been seen in Nike's 2014 Hyperdunk once again while they make adjustments for Thompson. This won't be the end you hear from him.

The O.G.s

D Rose 5 Boost

Derrick Rose faced another injury but came back just in time for the Bulls' playoff push. Once again, they weren't good enough but having the former MVP back on the court is a good sign. Featuring adidas' ultra popular Boost cushioning, these were popular.

Brand Black J. Crossover II

Who knew Jamal Crawford had his own shoe under the Brand Black brand? The J. Crossover weren't that popular but the second coming has been raved by sneaker reviewers all around. Featuring a true woven upper, these were often compared to the Jordan XX9 but didn't feature that kind of price tag. Find these for $140 now.

Nike Kobe X

Another disappointing year for the Mamba. Kobe's tenth signature shoe features a textile upper and a unique outsole pattern. Drawing inspiration from the Nike Free, the designers chose to incorporate that into the basketball world. The Kobe X comes in two Elite models featuring the Flyknit material in high and lowtop. It'll be a sad day when Kobe walks away from the game after 20 years.

Nike LeBron 12

We can guarantee that the Cavs fans are no longer mad at LeBron. Reaching the NBA Finals, they are so close to bringing home their first major championship in what seems like an endless amount of years. The LeBron 12 featured six individual hexagonal air bubbles for performance purposes. Surely seems like it works.

Nike KD 7

This season has been one for KD to forget. After breaking his foot, he dealt with foot injuries. He often left the KD 7s in the locker room and played in his previous KD 6 model. Photos of the KD 8 have surfaced and those feature an Air Max bubble. Maybe change is something Durant needs to excel.

Jordan Melo M11

Carmelo would also like to put this season behind him. The Knicks were forced to play without Melo as he sat out the rest of the season. They tanked and still couldn't claim the first overall pick. They'll have the fourth pick in this coming season and Melo will have the Melo M12.

Jordan CP3.VIII

CP3 faced the San Antonio Spurs and led the Clippers to a dramatic Game 7 victory then held a 3-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets. Unfortunately, now he's at home watching the rest of the NBA Playoffs. Chris Paul has quietly accumulated signature shoe after shoe. This is his 8th signature shoe with Jordan Brand.
